The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is embarking on a new chapter in its history, positioning itself even more strongly as an exclusive retreat that brings its guests into direct harmony with Mallorca's unique natural environment. With its season opening on March 18, 2026, the resort will present a meticulously designed offering that combines curated wellness activities with a clear focus on holistic well-being. This underscores the resort's ambition to set new standards in the international luxury hotel industry. One of the unique advantages of the resort is the golf course experience.

Alcanada Golf Club in Mallorca is a course measuring 6,559 meters and is known for its stunning views over the Mediterranean. The Lighthouse in all its talismanic splendour, is an emblem you will see from most of the golf course. The lighthouse brought tired sailors, battered by tempestuous seas, back home safely to the sheltering bay of Alcudia in days gone by. Now there is a new resonance; it is a beacon for golfing excellence.

The Alcanada golf course captivates golfers of all skill

levels, not just due to its stunning views of the sea, mountains, and lighthouse. Renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. has crafted a challenging layout, with strategically placed bunkers, trees, and other obstacles that will test even seasoned golfers with every stroke. Selecting the appropriate shot from the tees, playing strategically, and maintaining patience will provide a unique golfing experience on this beautifully maintained course.

Robert Trent Jones Jr., a globally acclaimed golf course architect, was commissioned to design Club de Golf Alcanada. He began his career at his father’s company, alongside his father Trent Jones Sr. and his well-known brother Rees Jones, who is also a golf course architect. To date, he has designed or remodeled over 250 golf courses around the world.

Among his masterpieces, Club de Golf Alcanada must be included – a design started in the 1990s in the name of Hans-Peter Porsche. The course opened in 2003 after 3 years of construction and is today considered one of the top courses in Europe.

Please note that reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance. The minimum handicap is 35 for women and 33 for men.

Extra Wellness Innovations

Wellness is one of the key travel trends of 2026. The Four Seasons Mallorca at Formentor is embracing this trend and conceptually redesigning its spa area. At its core is a clearly structured approach that combines high-quality treatment methods with the island's natural surroundings. The resort collaborates with brands such as Biologique Recherche, Sepai, Seaskin for Life, and Gaia Natural Products.

Beyond the spa area, the resort integrates movement and nature experiences into its holistic concept. Guided hikes and bike tours offer new perspectives on the Mallorcan landscape, complemented by programs such as Sunrise with Dolphins or Mallorca from Above. Here, relaxation doesn't happen in isolation in the treatment room, but rather in dialogue with the sea, the coast, and the Mediterranean vegetation.
