Cryotherapy chamber:a refreshing boost for body and mind

Dating back to ancient times, healers utilized ice and cold water for pain relief. In the 1970s, Japanese rheumatologist Dr. Toshima Yamauchi pioneered the modern version of whole-body cryotherapy to alleviate inflammation in patients with rheumatic conditions. This innovation resulted in the cryotherapy chamber we recognize today, now extensively used in medicine, wellness, professional sports, and recovery. Its increasing popularity stems from its comprehensive benefits for the body, immune system, and mental health.
Cryotherapy provides numerous advantages. It can alleviate muscle soreness, accelerate recovery post-exercise, and decrease chronic pain. Many individuals also note increased energy levels, improved sleep, and an enhanced overall sense of well-being. The procedure promotes the release of endorphins and anti-inflammatory agents, boosting both physical and mental health. For many, going to the cryotherapy chamber transforms into more than just a treatment—it becomes a rejuvenating ritual for both body and mind.
We tried it, and the results were instant!
A cryotherapy chamber is a specially designed space cooled to temperatures ranging from -60°C to -110°C (-76°F to -166°F). The session inside the cold chamber lasts approximately 2 to 3 minutes. During this time, individuals wear minimal clothing, such as a swimsuit, along with gloves, a face mask, headband, and special footwear to protect sensitive areas. During the three minutes spent in the cold chamber, we listened to a favorite song, and when the cold enveloped our bodies, we danced.
The extreme cold stimulates skin receptors without lowering the body's core temperature. This triggers an "alarm response": blood vessels constrict, metabolism increases, and the nervous system is activated. Upon exiting the chamber, blood vessels dilate again, enhancing circulation and oxygen delivery. Immediately after entering the chamber, the mind was perfectly clear, the energy was increased and we slept peacefully "like a baby". Definitely effective results worth exposing ourselves to freezing temperatures again @ Johannes Weiss Longevity Center.
