Jacquemus "Le Bonheur" - spectacular fashion show with summer lightness

Jacquemus has officially presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, named “Le Bonheur” (Happiness), through an intimate, open-air runway show in Corsica. Located along the rugged, windswept path leading to the Phare de la Pietra on the Île-Rousse in Corsica, the event served as a poetic tribute to leisurely Mediterranean summers, using natural elements like warm morning light and coastal breezes to infuse fluid motion into avant-garde silhouettes.
The collection seamlessly transitions from minimalist tailoring to highly expressive and playful designs. A classic tank top is crafted from ultra-thin leather or bonded crepe, or finished with organza shaped using a shibori technique.
The color scheme is artistic, blending gentle pastels with striking contrasting highlights: a silk-wool trench coat in bright yellow; a vivid green shirt adding life to a wool melange jacket; a touch of orange outlining the hems of pants; an aquamarine crepe tube dress.
Driven by a desire to free textiles from structural constraints, designer Simon Porte Jacquemus extensively experimented with transparency and lightweight layering. The runway featured sheer tailored jackets and matching shorts crafted from delicate triple organza, dramatic floor-length robe coats that flowed with each step, and black chiffon gowns designed to capture the coastal breeze.
Challenging traditional tailoring, the menswear collection highlighted cinched, sharply defined waistlines, presenting technical taffeta suits with structured jackets tucked directly into tightly belted trousers. Texture was equally crucial, with the house employing meticulous artisanal craftsmanship across sporty and organic designs.
